- 3. Gestational Diabetes
Gestational diabetes occurs in pregnant women during pregnancy who do not have high blood sugar levels before. This is a temporary stage of disturbed blood glucose levels.
Adult diabetes is a life-threatening disease that can kill you if not treated on time. Also you should know the signs of being a diabetic that you can detect in yourself. This knowledge can help a person to come in active mode for taking necessary steps as soon as this chronic disease starts to set in the body. If you find that you have diabetes than you will have the time to take the proper medication. Following are some of the signs and symptoms of diabetes:
- Recurrent infections
- Slow healing wounds
- Dry skin
- Frequent Urination
- Excessive thirst
- Recurrent yeast infection in women
- Impotency in men
- Too much hunger
- Fatigue
- Blurred vision
Remember one thing these symptoms can detect some other illnesses also. So it is better you should consult your doctor for regular testing of your blood glucose levels if you find any symptom of being diabetic. There are two tests that are generally recommended. One is oral glucose tolerance test and other is fasting blood test.
Health is extremely important to have a better and long life. Therefore, it is necessary to have a balanced diet that contains fresh vegetables and fruits to maintain the blood sugar levels. You should also do some light exercises to maintain your well-being.
