How to Effectively Get Rid of Acne Scars

Acne has been accepted as the worst nightmare by a lot of people as it leaves a lot of spots and sometimes results as scars. Mostly teenage people suffer from acne problem as it is quite natural to occur. Although they are told that they can get away from it as they grow older, teenagers don’t realize the fact and just grin and bear with it. The teenagers don’t realize that if is not treated at the right time, the acne may result as scars.

So, ultimately they end up with scars though they get rid from the acne. So far there has been very less treatment procedures for the complete removal of acne scarring. The currently available treatments will only reduce the appearance of scarring by making the skin look lot cleaner but cannot result in the complete removal of scars. So the timely treatment of acne is the only way to get rid from the fatal results of acne.

The treatment must be made as soon as you get to know the initial signs of acne and hence be prevented from the severe after effects of acne. The treatment is also not as easy as expected always. The complication of the treatment depends on the severity of the acne. If there has been acne scarring there are very few treatments that might help you. So, to get better results of acne removal and avoid complications, it should be treated from a dermatologist as early as possible.

By consulting a dermatologist we can get to know the options whether it can be completely removed or, if not completely then it can be reduced gradually. Following of specific procedures which can be determined depending on the individual situations include- Age and Health, the severity and type of scarring, and allergies or intolerance to medicine of treatments. All these factors will be looked upon by the dermatologist when deciding which type of treatment is to be made as the wrong type of medicine can make the situation more worse.

Surgery is the main type of treatment where in the complete removal of acne is made. However it is not always necessary to undergo surgery for the removal of acne. By undergoing surgery which is not necessary may result in surgery scars and acne scars as well.

Dermabrasion is a method where in electrical pulses is sent to the acne spot to reduce the acne scar but cannot remove the scar completely. After this treatment is completed, the skin may look reddish and swollen which may go down for a couple of weeks. In this period even eating food may be fairly hard to do. The doctor will instruct you how to take care of the reddish skin until it has been fully recovered.

The other options available include Collagen Injection, Laser resurfacing, Punch grafts and Autologous fat transfer. These treatments are more dangerous and may create more problems in future. Sufficient facts have to be known if you are going ahead with any of the above types. Consulting the doctor or dermatologist is preferred when you are not sure of the above treatments. Expecting fast results in most of the cases is always disappointing. Do not panic in selecting the type of treatment and consult your doctor to know the best suited treatment for your skin.
