The exact cause for acne is still uncertain. However the various factors that cause ace are: hormonal changes, infection, heredity factors and so on. Unhealthy eating habits lead to acne. • Take a bath after a workout of exercise and avoid clogging of sweat on the skin which might cause acne.

• Never squeeze or pick or pinch the pimples. It will worsen causing pain, swelling and may result in infection. Avoid touching the pimples as well.
• Wash your face frequently and keep it clean and moist. The dust and other particles can cause pimples. Pat your skin to dryness and never wipe your face.
• Apply an ice pack on the affected area. Ice packs help in reducing the pain and swelling of the pimples.
• Apply any acne cream on the pimples. It is better to select creams containing benzyl peroxide or salicylic acid.
• Avoid applying oily cosmetics or the cosmetics that are allergic to your skin.
• Apply a mixture of aspirin and water to the affected area.
• You can also try applying Visine eye drops on the pimples.
• Clean the pimple with alcohol and take some ibuprofen. This relives the pain and swelling from the pimples.
• Applying toothpaste on the affected area before going to bed will reduce the redness.
• Press-and-hold wet tea bag or a cotton ball with a small amount of lemon slice against the pimple will reduce the pain and swelling.
• Wash your hands before touching your face. This reduces the risk or pimple getting infected.
• Apply skin cleanser on tissue paper and apply this on the pimple overnight.
