Bad breath is affected to many people and it is not a disease, but it is just a problem. It can be cured in many ways. There are a lot of home remedies to treat a bad breath. The results are as usual very slow and don’t get disappointed that you did not get quick results. Be aware that chronic bad breath might be indications of other problems such as diet or tooth decay or even gum diseases.

The causes for bad breath are various such as: gum disease, improper oral hygiene or brushing, presence of plaque, presence of tongue coating caused due to lack of tongue-cleaning, infected teeth etc. Consult a dentist if you are unable to resolve from such type of bad breaths. If you are using any mouth wash solution, keep them away from children who might swallow it.

The various tips or ways of treating a bad breath are:

Brushing your teeth properly. In a hurry to reach any destination in the morning, do not brush your teeth negligently.

Rinse your mouth after each meal. Rinsing your mouth thoroughly after each meal or even a drink will help you fight bad breath.

Use mouth wash. It is always better to mouth wash using a solution preferably with a mint flavored solution.

Use mouth freshener. Natural or artificial mouth freshener can be used to prevent bad breath. The natural fresheners such as cloves and cardamom can be chewed to keep bad breath away.

Avoid smoking or drinking. It produces a peculiar smell in mouth. Also avoid chewing tobacco which had the same effect.

Bad breath can also be treated by salt and water. Boil sufficient amount of water and add 2 tablespoons of salt. Stir it till the salt dissolves. Gargle or swish the solution inside your mouth for about 15 seconds and expel the solution. Repeat the same procedure 2-3 times. The results can be seen within a week’s time. If possible follow the same process twice a day. Be careful when you boil the water; do not boil so that it could burn your mouth. And also do not swallow salt, as it contains sodium and consuming it in such concentration might be fatal.
