The causes are prolonged illness such as jaundice, weak hair roots, blocked pored, excess vitamin intake. In women abnormal periods and post pregnancy effects cause baldness. The only symptom is excessive hair loss.

A few natural remedies for treating baldness are:

Mix 3-5 tsp of curd with sufficient quantity of camphor. Keep it aside and apply it on the scalp. Wash your scalp after 3-4 hours with warm water.

Mix honey and egg yolk and apply it on the scalp and wash after 2 hours. Try the same with onion juice and honey.

Rub the cut halves of lemon on the affected area. Do this for about 2-3 months. Dry the lemon seeds and powder it with pepper. Mix it in water and apply over the scalp.

Boil dry pieces of amla in coconut oil and massage your scalp with this oil. Massage the scalp with just coconut oil or almond oil mixed with castor oil. This will help in hair growth.

Boil 200gms of gooseberry, soapnut powder in 2-3 liters of water and apply it on the scalp. Let it dry for about 3 hours and wash with warm water.

Boil 1-cup of mustard oil with 3-4 tsp of henna and filter the mixture. Apply this on your scalp.

Prepare a mixture of apple cider vinegar and sage tea and apply it on the scalp.

You can also try massaging the bald area with Aloe-Vera. This is another effective natural treatment.

Apart from these tips, follow a healthy diet, rich in proteins such as green leafy vegetables, cereals, carrot and fruits like mango, milk and milk products etc. Prepare a juice of banana, curds and honey and consume it regularly. Also include eggs, meat, alfalfa and lettuce. Keep your scalp clean by regular shampooing and avoid fungal or bacterial growth.
