The main cause of stomach cancer is still not known. However, the possible causes for stomach cancer include: genetic factors, dietary factors, presence of the bacteria called helicopter pylori bacterium, smoking and alcohol consumption. The main sy6mptoms of stomach cancer are: heartburns, stomach pain or discomfort in stomach, vomiting sensation, difficulty in swallowing, stomach fullness, loss of weight and appetite and fatigue.

Eat a healthy diet containing fruits and vegetables and avoid smoking in order to prevent stomach cancer. Stomach cancers can be treated using treatment methods such as:

• Chemotherapy: The drugs are used to kill the cancerous cells. During the treatment process, the drugs used in this method will damage the normal cells as well. A few side effects such as loss of appetite, hair-loss, mouth sores etc. occur during the process.
• Radiation Therapy: the high energy rays are used in this method to either shrink or kill the cancerous cells. Side effects such as diarrhea, fatigue, vomiting etc. can occur during the treatment process.
• Surgery: If the cancer is diagnosed in the earlier stages, then surgical method can be used to treat cancer. If the cancer has not spread, then the affected part will be surgically removed. If the cancer is spreading, then this method cannot be used.
